On learner attitudes toward training? And ironically: Most of the books were also touting "constructivism", "letting learners take over" and "putting learning into the learner's hands". Learner's hand cuffs is more like it. Has anyone else noticed this? Anyone else wondered what effect it has on learning?

Can this new attitude be developed? The bigger picture of that, though, may mean development of characteristics that are not necessarily skill-based: tolerating ambiguity, letting learners take over the learning, and coping with 'messy' conversations may take more than just skill development.
