I suppose with index cards you could take a picture or just transcribe everything, but that seems like too much hassle to me. Bring up a PowerPoint slide in your web conferencing software and drag and drop live while you’re on the phone. I know a local author who recently tried and then abandoned software for planning a novel.

Effective design using PPT as a tool. Not PPT 101. Many tools out there that still have to start with ppt Use it as a storyboarding tool, prototyping. Can do an awful lot with PPT. Can do an awful lot with PPT. SMES get married to the content and often lose sight of the bigger picture.

Now-a-days, almost every training course has a PowerPoint (PPT). This PPT is used during class to help the trainer stay on course and to provide some information to the learner. Let’s just come out in the open and say it, Classroom PPTs should not be put online and called eLearning. Old PowerPoint decks kind-of stink.

I wish it wasn’t so, but that is the world we live in today, and part of the reason this is happening is due to: Rapid content authoring tools (they know who they are). Usually I find the PPT driven approach, due to it. If you want to learn how to build courses in the authoring tool, then yes, there are quite a few.

Schedules dont always work out, so more often this is a one-on-one tour of the software and the content notes with the trainer. And Im "lucky" enough to have access to the software.
