I deliberately went around to the stands to question vendors on their approaches and examine their wares.

Learning Tools – Do these really belong?

A learning tool, should be well, a form of learning technology, not just a product that is for say e-mail, that is used because we send learning URLs in it, or we take courses on the subject or we can send invites to web conferences in it. . Questionmark – Assessment tool. Social Media is questionable too.

M-Learning: Where’s the app for that?

With all these vendors talking about their solution and its capabilities on mobile devices, it should be easy to find an app for that. Regardless if the vendor is m-learning specific, content authoring tool, LMS, web conferencing or a hybrid. Nowadays more and more vendors (thankfully) are seeing the benefit of mobile devices.

What I like about conferences is the ability to see the latest products and hear the pitches from the vendors. Yet, for all that do it, their are equal number of vendors who do not. Vendors who hand you a product (trial) and their business card or they just have their items in a bowl and you grab one. Questionmark.
