I have a real issue with vendors who charge extra – via a license with their “partner&# or otherwise for a web conferencing – and thus ability to offer webinars, in their solution. It should be free – 100%. Hence: Below are products that are either open source free or free or free with limited functionality.

If the presenter is using VOIP, then audio is recorded during the presentation, because the audio is coming through the computer’s speakers. Most systems do not record the audio from attendees, even if they are using VOIP, but some do. Even in that case, again, some systems have an option that it is not recorded. Transcript Time.

via VOIP, mobile, telephone, etc. Some have ads, which can be a downer for some folks, others require the person to either use VOIP or call in with a non toll free number. . They also have a lot of partnerships with LMS vendors – so that adds to an additional distribution channel. .

Offer a toll free number, but only for that specific country – again, this is seen widely – so if you are in the United States, the toll free line is for the United States; if you are in the U.K., toll free number or multiple countries toll free numbers. We can surf the internet, find other vendors.

Basically, without it, you are buying a chat room, and there are plenty out there for free. Personally, at this point in the tech world, ignore the “HD&# option, unless it is free. I had it with one vendor and rarely used it. Does the recording stay on the vendor’s server and attendees access it? Why buy one?

Personally, at this point in the tech world, ignore the “HD&# option, unless it is free. I had it with one vendor and rarely used it. The instructor can mute end users either while the end users are on the phone or VOIP or both. E-Learning 24/7. Must have it. Why do this? Try to negotiate this to remove it.
