Snagit is my favorite screen recording tool because of its versatility as an image and video capture software. I’ll walk through this process in Snagit, but the workflow is very similar in Camtasia. Then, in Snagit, select the Video tab. Snagit is recording everything that happens inside the selected area.

Snagit is my favorite screen capture tool because of its versatility as an image and video capture software. To record a webinar using Snagit, first download the application. Follow the installation instructions, and when the process is complete, Snagit will open. Then, in Snagit, select the Video tab. Edit and Save.

Use an image editing program to resize when possible to get the right size, rather than inserting an image and trying to resize in-program (ex: WordPress, Google Docs, etc.). PNG vs JPG. Download a Free Trial of Snagit. When working on a document in a program like Microsoft Word or Google Docs, it’s tempting to drag the corners of an image to make it larger or smaller. For most basic image editing, including cropping and resizing, TechSmith Snagit is the perfect solution. Don’t do it!

Or, do a Google image search for “black and white geometric pattern” and use one you like. With the black and white image open in Snagit Editor, select File > Save As. Close the image in Snagit Editor. Close the image in Snagit Editor then reopen it. You can download some here. Give the file a name. Click Save.
