It’s frustrating to locate an image only to find it just isn’t quite right. In these cases, it’s possible to tweak the image with a graphics editor. As you can see in the image below, PowerPoint 2010 has an entire row of options just for editing images. | ELEARNING ACUPUNCTURE APRIL 20, 2012 Humanline - more free images for educational use It’s an image library of arts, history and science that is mainly focused on licensing images for use in education ( your ears should perk up now ) and for commercial use. I CAME, I SAW, I LEARNED | SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2011 eLearning: Finding Google Images You Can Actually Use have previously written about some good, free stock image resources. In response to that article, a reader asked me if the images on these sites were royalty free and could be used in courses that he planned to sell. Sometimes you can use the images, but only if you credit the original artist. Other times you can use the image, but not if you're going to sell your eLearning courses. And sometimes it's just really complicated and you would be well served to contact the owner of the image and get permission to use it. by AJ George. MORE >> -

MINUTEBIO | MONDAY, JANUARY 25, 2010 Google Image Swirl One of their latest is Google Image Swirl. “Google Image Swirl organizes image search results into groups and sub-groups, based on their visual and semantic similarity and presents them in an intuitive exploratory interface. It is still in the labs, so I am sure there will be improvements when released, and I do hope they increase the size of the images in the swirls. What I do like is that I can very quickly dig into subgroups of the image results, refining the search visually. Go ahead, give it a try, Image Swirl. MORE >> -
