If your client wants you to get an elearning module built based on storyboards developed in-house, make sure it’s clear that your work is entirely dependent on their work. Ask for sign-off on the success factors from all the key people, whether you’ll meet them or not (this helps your immediate contact, too, which is pretty handy).

Books are no better because they ignore that times have changed, that an increased percentage of people have to create the content, typically not by choice, and terms such as Kirkpatrick are as foreign as the former members of the Warsaw Pact, let alone what was the Warsaw Pact?
