Merger - OutStart & Hot Lava (Mobile Learning)

OutStart has announced a merger with Hot Lava software. OutStart produces an LCMS and development tools (including TrainerSoft, which was renamed OutStart Trainer). There are many challenges to m-learning. If done well it may even give them some advantage in the m-learning world. OutStart will make use of Hot Lava’s patent-pending technology to develop, deliver and track mobile content for everything from product training to assessments, surveys, job aids and checklists.  This will be interesting to follow and see its impact on the m-learning world.

If you visit the Taleo home page, you will learn the following two items. must have been sleeping, but when did “learning” slide under Talent Management?  When did “learning, which is training” become a defacto component of Talent Management? Oracle's ( Learning Management and PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management but less so it's iLearning ) and SAP Enterprise Learning score better than I would have expected. It is not surprising then that ELearning Magazine now includes a social learning tool category in its yearly awards. Despite yeoman efforts on the part of many of the learning systems and tools providers to develop social learning capabilities, there are no established learning industry representatives in this group. Why these three, and not Saba for Saba Social or OutStart for Participate ? Sorry.
