I was curious to know who the first person was to say, “Happy New Year.” What didn’t surprise me though, once it started to catch everyone’s attention, was that vendors in the learning system and learning tech space, would grab hold of it. Will it be universal in what vendors do with it?

These two vendors are EdCast and Degreed. Getting back to being unaware, I find the same issue with a few vendors in the learning system space who are really LXPs, but have no idea. It reminded me of the vendors in the space who scream they are not an LMS, even though they hit all the standards of an LMS. . In my opinion, no.

The LMS vendor got away with charging an outrageous amount for their system, with a “deal for them” $48 a seat. Again, a “deal” according to the vendor. There are vendors in the industry who are known to undercut or under bid if you will, their competitors to just win the deal. Seems high right?

It happened with a vendor that I was quite impressed with several months back. Maybe it was the car salesperson telling you that your car comes with salfjlhb only to find out that means nothing, but sound cool. How am I getting bamboozled with an LMS vendor.
