From a technology standpoint, it is a bit more clearer, but nowadays when a vendor says “Enterprise” they are not thinking from the technology standpoint. And again, the learning system vendor or e-learning provider? Enterprise does make a big difference in the learning system industry, depending on the vendor.

These two vendors are EdCast and Degreed. Getting back to being unaware, I find the same issue with a few vendors in the learning system space who are really LXPs, but have no idea. It reminded me of the vendors in the space who scream they are not an LMS, even though they hit all the standards of an LMS. . In my opinion, no.

I wonder if they see the “fitness gym membership” as a bigger plus than providing personal and professional development for their employees? I wonder if they are aware of another well known data point that the number one reason people leave companies is the lack of personal and professional development growth? My Backpack.

The LMS vendor got away with charging an outrageous amount for their system, with a “deal for them” $48 a seat. Again, a “deal” according to the vendor. There are vendors in the industry who are known to undercut or under bid if you will, their competitors to just win the deal. Seems high right?
