I had thought that this trend would be dying out, but it is amazing at the number of vendors who are entering the space and still focused on the desktop approach. Here’s another statistic that bodes well for mobile, Apple sold more iPads in Q4 2011 than any individual PC manufacturer sold PCs. Resist the temptation to simply convert your eLearning desktop to HTML5. Tools vendors focus their entire marketing strategies (I know I was one of them) on selling “ more interactive ” features.

Please remember for TM or as some vendors like to pitch as “performance management or knowledge management&# , the modules are extra and are not part of the system (at least for now). The product is Flash based, which is nice, but lack of mobile optimization for the iPad. Saba does a good job as well. Reporting, is solid.
