The same holds true for the standards that we support and the ever changing needs of our customers. The list of acronyms that our products support continues to grow. Is it worth it?

Get involved, donate your time and talent, it is a course and an organization worth supporting! Later on the ADL was formed and they wanted a more extended standard, based on the AICC specs. So the ADL developed Scorm in a different (technical) way and we ended up with two standards. And this is where CMI-5 comes into play.

Fast forward to the early 2000s, and a US government-sponsored group, the ADL Initiative, took the best of AICC, added some much-needed changes, and SCORM 1.0 There is no forward or backward compatibility, so you DO need to make sure the content and the learning system support the same version. vs SCORM 2004 as it was newer.
