One minus I’ve always found with Cornerstone CSX is their analytics UI/UX. Cornerstone owns Grovo, and mentions often that with the Grovo content you can edit it and add your own stuff, change, etc. Great, but why charge extra for Grovo? I met one attendee who has Saba Cloud and EdCast, so its doable.

On the flip side, Grovo is by far one of the most overrated systems on the market, especially with the assumption that it must be “forward thinking” and thus have NexGen robustness. Unicorn LMS, Workday Learning, Degreed, Saba, Torch LMS, Learn Amp. Grovo already noted. Still NexGen worthy – robust.

Can view VR content and play, albeit no analytics here (again, no one is doing it yet). Chrome extension called Saba Discovery is quite nice, a perfect compliment to content curation. Analytical design needs a revamp, but in the grand scheme of functionality, they are fire breathing dragons. NexGen galore.

I could say six, if I include Grovo, but I see them right now as a learning system without clear definition. For folks who think I ignore the big dog vendors, sorry to disappoint, but Saba, SumTotal Learn and Cornerstone Learning Suite are in the Top 50. Welcome back – Saba and Absorb LMS. Heavy use of metrics – A lot of metrics and analytical analysis here – going beyond learning platforms in general, and depending on the LMS, might exceed that too. .
