Right now, at m-learning vendor locations around the world, especially in the RCAT space, they should be scheduling meetings and coming up with a new perspective and approach to their products. For LMS vendors, adding “HTML5 feature sets makes sense – especially if they are adding mobile learning components in their system. For vendors whose products are in the works for HTML5 output (ahem, in beta), perhaps speeding up the process wouldn’t be such a bad idea.

Whatever it is, this one is music to my ears after many years of toiling away to make mLearning a reality for the enterprise. And learning vendors (e.g., The big will continue to eat the small as larger vendors seek to increase their market appeal to both customers and investors.

Whatever it is, this one is music to my ears after many years of toiling away to make mLearning a reality for the enterprise. I agree the technologies to create, deploy and manage HTML5-based mobile web apps will greatly improve in 2012 but I don't feel they will mature to the point they can replace all native apps – at least in most of the primary enterprise use cases for learning that’s managed and tracked.

Collaborative social app – People download the app from the LMS vendor, then use it for social feature sets – communication, knowledge sharing, posting/rating comments and so forth and yeah, it’s mobile. Yet, for me, the one that has yet to go mainstream is a m-commerce app, Stripe exists with one vendor – not overtly sold due to it being integrated, I’d think it is better served within the mobile app or again, as a feature of options with a m-commerce app.
