GeoLearning’s GeoMaestro is a LMS that packs a wallop but at the same time has some features that provide limitations. Administrator side is equally pleasant, with ease of use, nav friendly playing a key role. Role focused capability & groups (common in every LMS solution). Wizards for the Admin side – Genius!

Of all commercial LMSs, I probably have the most hands-on experience with GeoLearning ’s various products and services having managed an enterprise implementation several years ago. It was a multi-phase implementation (LMS, LCMS, Talent Management) that went off pretty smooth and the team at GeoLearning was great to work with.

Geolearning. When GeoLearning changed to Express, I was fortunate to stay with the more advanced one – and still received updates.  Sadly, one day I called, they were out of business, sold to the nefarious NetG – who likely placed them in a huge warehouse next to the remains of a famous pharaoh. Bookstore.

What anyone should be doing is Impact of Learning which makes L&D and Training into a business partner. ROI sounds good, it is widely used, but it doesn’t make you into a business partner. And in 2002, many more – I used Geolearning – it offered lots of informal options. And what can show those data points?

On behalf of a blog reader, I had the opportunity to listen in on a webinar for the Taleo Learn Business Edition. Course subscription/catalog which can be viewed by group, job role, etc. This is the former GeoLearning Maestro solution, which is now listed as SumTotal Learning Maestro. Their response? Nice set of admin features.

The survey asks demographic and company questions of all the participants so that you know things like the industry, size of company, number of learners, their role, etc. The numbers displayed above don't show this, but you can slice the numbers according to the level in the organization and by role.
