Content – Change the Narrative

Too many times I find that when talking about content, 3rd party content providers, content driven strategies from learning system vendors (which is quite hot) and marketplaces place more of a general approach to buying and pushing it. If your learning system provider offers content, take a look at it. The Grocery Store.

Thus far I've looked at Element K, SkillSoft, Vital Learning, Ninth House, and Achieve Global. What I like about these providers is the scope of what they offer -- many courses to choose from.

You can find free content all over the internet and you can purchase 3rd party content from a content provider. And not only do they provide the “course marketplace or content marketplace”, but they are adding content for free, to when you buy the LMS or other type of learning system. History. Who remembers NetG?

Learning System TrailBlazers – Who’s Next?

I personally think what has hurt them in the greater market is the push by so many vendors (some of which are legit competitors) to refer to them as “traditional”, citing how long they have been around. NetG, Element K, being just two. Yes, the admin side, needs a revamp, but feature-wise, they are top tier.
