There’s nothing more frustrating than blurry pictures. While you can try tinkering in a photo editing program, or shrinking the image and crossing your fingers in hopes that no one looks too closely, the best strategy is to start with crystal clear pictures. It was probably a low resolution image that wasn’t intended for print.

The images all had different background colors, and I needed them to all have a uniform look. You have a logo, icon, or other images that you’re trying to design with, but you need to remove the background of the image. You may need to add your company logo to a new image or add an icon to a PowerPoint presentation.

Job aids, like this office floorplan reference, can be laminated and placed on a wall, printed out and kept near a desk, or a JPG on the company network. Now adjust the colors and formatting to create a white cloud. To do this, select the cloud and then make sure the Format tab is selected. Right click on the cloud and choose Shape Format. This will allow part of the background to come through the cloud when we place it on another image. Change Shape Fill to white.
