When you dont meet someone in person, you still paint a picture of them in your mind. I had to keep staring at each of them hard as I replaced my old pictures. The bonus of so many of the social media tools we use is that our pictures are attached. The universe has shifted slightly as Ive adjusted my images. Unexpected beards.

I prefer to get the big picture view first, and often a diagram or metaphor will do that for me. They focus on the details, often missing the big picture that the N learner quickly grasps in reading a passage, because of their internal wiring. Im interested in your background -- it sounds like your experience is in the classroom.

I decided I wanted a picture in my banner to create some visual interest. Cammy--thanks for the compliment. :-) Im digging the new look and what you did with the banner. I dont think Blogger has tabs yet, but I bet that will come in time. So heres what I did: I chose a different Blogger template: one with less color, more white.

Files can be password protected Discussion Boards In August, Gin Premiere is launching with new features, including instant messaging, a "whos online" feature, skinning features, and the ability to upload pictures with your profile. It seems to me that FaceBook is a great networking tool.

It works on all platforms and is probably the most popular free audio program around. To create a.pdf, just use the print command from the source program that the file was created in. Some say this email program from Mozilla is better than Outlook Express. This chat program gets rave reviews. BURNING CDs and DVDs.

I have a lot of issues with the whole "seat time" model (and Im thinking about sit and click style eLearning here of the self-paced variety): My seat time may be different than yours Is there supplemental material, like reading, that is optional -- or that might vary per user? Another side of the picture is overall time versus chunking.

I had an interesting discussion with someone about doing the macro of ID (big picture, planning) versus the micro (building as well). I come from an old-school approach: I sort of understand the technology, but I leave the graphics and programming expertise to others. The programming skills should be left to the programmers. Do you work in or favor a design shop where each person has his or her own role (ID, graphics, programming, QA)? Whats your view?
