I thought first around something like the Truth they don’t want you to know, then realized that some vendors would push back and say that isn’t true, which gets back to the original statement. There are going to be salespeople who do not even work for the vendor. Are there exceptions absolutely.

One competitor purchased a VLP as a key component, SAP purchased SuccessFactors, a recruiting system initially turned HCM, who had acquired Plateau, a strong but awful UI/UX LMS. SuccessFactors constantly stated they would invest heavily into Plateau and initially, vast improvement was to be found. And the winner is.

Absolutely none. Cumbersome?

One Grid that goes beyond the Quadrants of the world, the other type of grids focusing on the space, the vendors that make it based on a variety of factors as defined by the firms themselves. I decided for this debut to focus on 20 vendors. Many of the vendors listed below do appear in the Top 50 for 2017. I totally get it.

Oracle then followed suit by acquiring SuccessFactors who had acquired Plateau in the past. I’m sure the people who had purchased Plateau or even SuccessFactors Learning system were delighted to hear the news. “Training” sliding under HCM? If I was them, I know I would. I highly doubt it.

These are being reported out of the larger eLearningGuild population and I would claim that they are likely more accurate than survey research that goes through the vendors themselves. Several of the LMS vendors appear more than once, such as Oracle. They can be used to see how LMS vendors stack up against particular features.
