nomenclature on the back end of the learning system. I always laugh when a vendor says, “legacy,” as though everyone in L&D, Training, HR and whatever other department is overseeing the learning system, knows what that term means. Vendors push it still for learning and training. Just say content.

This was my third TK in a row to attend, and as usual it contained some WOW on the part of some products, some “huh” on others and even a few “boos” Overall Expo Analysis. More vendors showing off their products then in the past – still a couple believe that a poster board will do the trick. Product Time.

Part of the blame has to be on the learning systems focused only on the edtech market, because I couldn’t find one that had skills functionality like a skills library tied to various learning subjects. Yet, you hardly find it on a learning system – or even content that a vendor will add to their marketplace.

All those who say learning styles do not exist – are basically saying to those who say they exist, as being wrong. E-Learning is the future of learning, I’d argue it has been for over a decade, and continues to improve. Quality e-learning is interactive and engaging. Would this be a learning preference?
