A Look Back at 2020 for E-Learning

I will go thru several areas for e-learning, not just learning systems, although by far, it will be the most, since a lot has happened in 2020. . But overall, in my opinion, EdTech also showed all its weaknesses front and center, and way too many vendors were unprepared for the numbers of schools, universities, colleges, etc.

I am still trying to wrap my head around this system, whereas learning is a module and whereas folks use SF for learning. Majority of learning systems out there, at least in LMS space, can integrate quite nicely with Oracle. LMS as a whole still makes up the biggest segment of the learning system space.

Learning Tools – Do these really belong?

That said, there were some curious items on this list, which to me, doesn’t really fly in the world of learning tools. Even when it is in an LMS or other types of learning systems. And if we are going to talk about social media, why aren’t there any vendors from countries such as China? with this platform.

Assessment tools including Online Testing Tools (even online proctoring) (ProProfs, ClassMarker, Questionmark). Learning Engagement Platforms (Degreed). Web conferencing tools (aka virtual learning classrooms, webinars). More vendors entering the space then leaving it. Video Learning Platforms are a mixed bag. .

This was my third TK in a row to attend, and as usual it contained some WOW on the part of some products, some “huh” on others and even a few “boos” Overall Expo Analysis. Nice selection of vendors – in general. Wi-Fi worked a lot better, but vendors and end users still had issues inside the expo hall.

I love Questionmark, its a wonderful product and it can use a “connector” to integrate into your learning platform or system.
