Right now, you have to upload the course as you would with your SCORM wrapper, where you self-upload or use the course within an online mobile platform from your authoring tool vendor. Just as you can with PENS authoring tools and the systems that support PENS (i.e with TinCan). Specifically.

What I am finding is that AICC is nearly gone in the LEP space (as it is with LMSs too), so if I was you, I’d seek SCORM, SCORM 1.2, PENS is nearly non-existent in this segment and CMI-5 is extremely new and few vendors have it – expect more in 2019. Video streaming. xAPI as my top three. Video bookmarking.

At least SCORM support – Plenty still support AICC. Only a few support PENS, which is a shame, because it really does some very cool things. Why not include a review checker or SCORM checker to make sure that the course that has just been created will work fine? Output to HTML5. 2004 (3rd edition) included.

Streaming video – low number of systems. SCORM/AICC/PENS/IMS. Those that don’t are due to: Your tool works only with SCORM 2004 3rd edition, and your LMS only accepts AICC. If you are seeking this route, some vendors include it at no charge, the others who offer it – charge extra. ePub publishing .

An alarming rate of “get the content up now, ASAP&# regardless of what it looks like, instructional design is typically tossed out the window, especially when the ID, CD or whomever is tasked to create is handed a stream of documents in Word or PPT or some other form. CourseLab – ADL SCORM certified, no less. Bad Trends.

Has at least one course standard (Standards : SCORM, SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 3rd edition, SCORM 2004 4th edition, AICC, PENS, xAPI, CMI-5). Do you have video streaming – at no charge to the learner and buyer? Do you convert the video to SCORM 1.2 As long as it has one of these.
