As politely as I could, I explained to him that making his students sit through a full 90 minutes of video was not particularly good pedagogy. By far the highest use of video in institutions was in the classroom with 92% of institutions showing videos to their students (Kaltura, 2018). I was appalled. Cognitive Science 12, 257-285.

In fact, an extant research indicates that videos would capture 84% of eLearning traffic by 2018. Pedagogy and andragogy experts tell us that showing a skill is better than telling a skill. The popularity of YouTube videos suggest a strong affinity of humans towards visual content. Videos have a knack to do just that.
