One of the more interesting aspects of this is that I've really changed and refined what I advise both audiences in terms of their learning 2.0 strategy. But, here's what I see in terms of a CLO perspective. Seven Key Aspects of Learning 2.0 Strategy 1. Start Tactical and Bottom Up The title of the post is horribly misleading. When I used to work with organizations on defining an eLearning Strategy, I always worked from a very broad view of needs across the organization and the implications that had on people, process and technology.

While I’ve lots more to say, I put a short version of my vision of elearning strategy in Michael Allen’s 2009 e-Learning Annual .  It’s about both getting the individual elements right, and establishing the connections between the elements to achieve synergy, not irrelevance (or worse).

A really great exercise is to go through this with a peer or as part of a workshop ... hint :) ... Spend some time to do this reflection, it's well worth it. Use technology, leverage it, but always remember it’s a means to an end. The desired end is learning and resultant performance and not the use of cool technology.
