Empower , a rapid Flash interaction builder, for the princely sum of $99, got me wondering if I have any idea any more of what an authoring tool is worth. Empower looks like it is much more powerful than Articulate Engage, which sells for four times as much, and almost certainly cost Trivantis much more to develop.

Some slides may or may not have audio. Those that do have audio can be adjusted using the volume control button. Many people who use Articulate Engage will create a drop down tab with detailed instructions for those who need them. I think that in most cases they can be eliminated or at least simplified.

Library pulls in your video, audio, flash and image files right from your video,image, flash, audio folders on your computer – GREAT IDEA – although I wish they added HTML5. Page analyzer – estimated time load depending on your speed – again a great idea! Audio recorder and adding audio.

So I put together ten ideas that may help the next time you need to add a table to your course. Add on-click animations to the objects and you can sync the animations to your audio. If you want to get a little trickier and add more content than just audio narration, then this approach may work for you. I explain more below.
