How much is an authoring tool worth?

Empower , a rapid Flash interaction builder, for the princely sum of $99, got me wondering if I have any idea any more of what an authoring tool is worth. Empower looks like it is much more powerful than Articulate Engage, which sells for four times as much, and almost certainly cost Trivantis much more to develop.

Do You Really Need Instructions on How to Use an E-Learning Course?

Some slides may or may not have audio. Those that do have audio can be adjusted using the volume control button. Many people who use Articulate Engage will create a drop down tab with detailed instructions for those who need them. I think that in most cases they can be eliminated or at least simplified.
