One interesting result is that the audience for my eLearning 2.0 presentation were much more sophisticated that audiences at ASTD, ISPI and even the eLearningGuild. All the marketing was done through viral means - blogs primarily. Of course, having the conference free makes it a bit easier to attract attendees.
