Especially for us fans of HTML5 who knew in our hearts of hearts that it was a superior product to Flash. 9th, that it is abandoning its work on Flash for mobile devices and instead focusing on mobile development of development of HTML5 for mobile. I know if I was a RCAT vendor I would. Awesome Example of HTML5.

Before diving into the conference itself, for those who are unaware, I have signed a book deal with ATD Publishing. . But trust me when I tell you this, that it has no bearing on my thoughts of this year’s conference, because overall it was the best one ATD wise that is, I have ever been to. Well hello there!

Interestingly, a large portion of LMS vendors have not optimized their products for the iPad/ iPad2 and with the exception of two content authoring tools, HTML5 capabilities, specifically the ability to output a course in HTML5 does not yet exist. Isn’t it finally time for the vendors to listen? E-Learning 24/7.

True, the other tablets and Samsung offer Flash 10.1 and Java, but they offer HTML5 too. Same issue occurred with Opera – used Flash and Java.

What I like about conferences is the ability to see the latest products and hear the pitches from the vendors. Trivantis – Lectora Inspire – the product now supports HTML5, and comes with templates for tablets including the iPad – which is a good thing, since I will have my iPad with me. Questionmark.
