Due to budgetary restrictions I am limited to Power Point in combination with a PPT to Flash Converter as my authoring tool. This has actually gone surprisingly well and I am having a hard time figuring out what the major authoring tools out there have over power point when it is used with a Flash Converter.

Ideally, I would like to take a portion of the content of an instructor led course and convert that to eLearning so that I can reduce the amount of days/hours required to complete the class. I need to find a subject to cover and preferably it is a subject that is currently being covered in an instructor led course.

We are looking to drop this to 3 days by converting select topics to eLearning modules that they can take during slow times at the store. There are several topics that would be ideal for eLearning but the entire course cannot be converted because some of the topics are much more effectively covered through instructor led training.

Now I would love to go back and re do several of the eLearning courses I developed using Power Point and a Flash converter. Now I am knee deep in developing it in Captivate and I am kicking myself for not pushing harder for this purchase a year ago. I have also been improving my skills in Photoshop with this project.

I went into this just hoping to eliminate the steps I was taking to convert my power point into a Captivate file but got more than I was expecting with Quizmaker and Engage. I was expecting these tools to speed up development but I was not expecting the quality results.
