You can purchase any 3rd party course authoring tool product or use a free course authoring tool product to create your courses and upload them into the Topyx LMS, as long as it is SCORM compliant. If you want to use a freebie, my blog contains an article on free course authoring tools – the most widely used one is courselab.

I fully understand the value of winning such an award, and find no fault with the vendor or whomever wins the award, nor to a degree find fault with the organization or blog that gives out awards.

The goal of course, is a one stop shop, rather than going with an assessment tool vendor and then selecting a content authoring tool vendor. I’m not talking output to WoW or a Medal of Honor, but the ability to create games – real gaming capabilities – not “activites&# such as Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune type.

It was difficult to say the least and learning it wasn’t much easier. The Macromedia set typically would toss in Director, which created an equally impressive array of course capabilities, but a deep learning curve. CourseLab – ADL SCORM certified, no less. Oh, and they are all free. Let me think about this.

Vendors who improved their customer service significantly including adding extensive multilingual support for their web site, products. Vendors who dumped desktop apps and went into the “cloud” – thank you, thank you. Vendors who provide Mac OS support for their desktop content authoring tools. Thanks Again.
