Someone came up with the idea to create templates for developing courses quickly – and no, it wasn’t someone from Adobe or Articulate. LTG, however, made a poor decision (although they disagree) in buying NetDimensions. I was using DazzlerMax and Authorware, which are superior offerings for creating courses.

In particular, our report builder makes it possible to create a significantly greater amount of different data dashboard views than we see in our competitors. Craig: LTG owns quite a few companies including Rustici (makers of SCORM Engine and Watershed), NetDimensions, PeopleFluent and gomo. NetDimensions has been rebranded.

Most of it came, via 3rd party providers, or what we referred to as “boutique shops” – think custom development (fee-based) that someone, company, government, institution, and so forth hired to create a course or courses. Could someone create a course at said company? The LMS The player for online learning and WBT?

A few of the Top 50 LMS vendors in attendance: Growth Engineering, ExpertusOne, eLogic Learning, Docebo, Administrate, SumTotal, NetDimensions, Litmos, LearnUpon, iSpring Online, Totara, Shift IQ, IMC-AG, Blackboard, D2L, Biz Library. Universal Player – I found this part quite interesting. It is SaaS based. Items I liked.

That is the problem with the term and as such it creates quite a confusion in the marketplace. NetDimensions - $$-$$$$. Another player in the space that not only fits the build of an extended enterprise but also as a multi-tenant. Or you may see an extended enterprise which focuses on the B2B, B2C or both. Mid size and up.
