Steve Rosenbaum pointed out in his key note address at DevLearn that search engines like Google become less reliable and that we have to find other ways to manage the information overflow. I decided to test Google myself. I entered the search term ‘Kasper Spiro’ in Google, searching for images of myself.

Searches on Google on some e-Learning related terms are dropping year by year: searches on Instructional design for example dropped by 80% since 2005. Terms connected to old school e-Learning are dropping, terms related to new forms of (e-)Learning (like MOOC’s) are rising in the Google trends. On SCORM the drop is 83%.

There already is a discussion on wearables (like Google Glass, smart watches and other sensors that we will carry in the near future). I will use it in the product development of the new web edition of easygenerator and I believe I can solve that apocalypse. A great step forward. That is my biggest personal take away. I loved it.
