Learning communities tied to groups, courses, et al. – Forget adding wikis or a profile page or some other nonsense that has been around for a few years, the one item that is a must for any holiday are learning communities. Word docs, one pagers in text, and similar – short and right to the point.

While there are a couple of vendors out there who have incorporated e-mail that can go to outside to people, rather than just within the learning management product, the overall space isn’t doing it. To hold photos, images, media files – eventually moved to word docs. Online Storage i.e online hard drives.

No longer are they stuck saying, well it would something like this – and show an image or hard doc, now the end user can experience it. . I only know of a few vendors who have integrated FB and Twitter APIs into their systems – so it is actually Twitter and Facebook. .

E-Learning development houses need to be able to demonstrate a clear value in their services. Why should companies go with e-Learning vendors when rapid e-Learning tools are available? Have the e-Learning vendor create the first few custom programs. I completely agree with this.
