Thankfully, rather than just one person looking back and seeing what happened, we can all do so. . Despite overall consumer demand (not just within e-learning) for tablets, and numbers showing that tablets are outselling notebooks, e-learning vendors as whole are sitting back and waiting. A win in my book.

Benefit: Reduces calls to administrator and training/learning person who oversees the system and department. Reduces costs to vendor, which is big because everyone knows that support inc. While many vendors pitch mobile learning they seem to be stuck on the idea that people are not interested in online/offline synchronization.

Tin Can compliment – but no native app and no online/offline synch. Personalization capability for each end user – including selecting their own language, which may be different from another end user in the same system. Tin Can API with online/offline synchronization – AWESOME! What are those? Competencies.

Enables people to work offline without net connection then when back online, re-synchs with SaaS platform or system. Personalization. As a whole we like products that offer some form of personalization. Even with cable and satellite – ala carte provides you with a personalized option. I’m talking app.

Mobile learning – it might surprise you to know that 75-80% of all systems in the space, currently do not offer any type of mobile learning, the number goes up even higher for online/offline synch. Congrats, you are probably looking at less than 10 (based on my LMS directory which contains 475 vendors).
