I have a real issue with vendors who charge extra – via a license with their “partner&# or otherwise for a web conferencing – and thus ability to offer webinars, in their solution. Mikogo - online meetings, web conferencing, webinars, etc. Ekiga – VOIP and Web Conferencing, HD Quality – nice!

Web conferencing vendors can establish themselves to expand beyond the meeting standard. Feature set is rich – think of the possibilities, even with a learning management or learning portal system. But for the majority of e-learning vendors, they just fail to see it.

30% vendors offer at least one type of social media – from my latest LMS directory. Dozens of LMS vendors, had typos on their web pages, zero screens of the system, links that went nowhere and two kicked up my Firewall warning of possible privacy collection and one had a Trojan Horse (I use a hardcore firewall and A/V).
