If you use an RCAT (Rapid Content Authoring Tool), you will probably see either “Chapter”, “Header”, “Module” and then the term slides. And yet, they decided to go “slides.” It helps folks to build courses quickly, and some RCATs now include simulations as an option. I say great.

What are a couple of best practices/tips, I should remember? If you’ve never done this before, a good tip is write your test questions (even if you don’t want a test) first and then turn them around into your enabling objectives (a few word changes and you often have the key focus of what that person was to learn).

How many of you required that any technology training must include work instructions, and then for assistance, added little icons – like a light bulb for help/tip? I mean, did you learn looking at a slide on the projector screen? A large binder of documents with some images – and that was always a maybe.

In this case, it actually follows more along the lines of the course angle, whereas if a student runs into some type of challenge or as they pitch it “roadblock”, they are pushed (my term) to an area for other resources to help. Again, is this really a personalized learning experience or more of a hidden branch angle?
