If one was to look at the e-learning industry (online learning), learning systems make up the biggest share of the space. They have been around as long as online learning has existed. Who remembers NetG? NetG, was the evil empire of the days gone past – ok, in my mind. E-Learning 24/7.

When they went course aggregator, I saw them as a nice alternative to Skillsoft who was off acquiring other course providers including NetG and then down the road, Element K. I always say it as a dated, archaic system that made SharePoint look like a revolutionary solution for the masses for online learning (it’s not).

But, all those items can be delivered via online learning. . At one time, it was the biggest brand out there, and a vendor who bought up other well-known content providers such as NetG and ElementK. Learning a foreign language is a popular subject for folks to take online. Skillsoft is another brand name.
