If boomers arent going to be retiring and leaving the workforce in droves as predicted, then will the knowledge transfer gap be an issue? "We dont have the budget for that."

What I constantly see in the industry is the pitch on one hand of a committment to a learning management system, and yet internally the vendor sees their system as a talent management system. Two examples: In 2010, a person at Saba was talking about their system to me. To me, this is how vendors skirt the issue. .

Social learning. Works with SharePoint 2007 and 2010. This is really a HCM and yes it has a LMS, but they continue to have issues with their UI. Easy to use interface – which often does not happen with SharePoint LMSs. Comes with an authoring tool. Mobile – support iPad. SCORM (in case you were wondering).

Empower, but I ran into a major issue with Snap! does not work with a 64 bit Windows OS that has/and you using PowerPoint 2010 – since Snap! is not the only product which has an issue with a 64 bit Windows computer but in combination with PPT 2010, I’m unaware of any other. A slight issue I had with Empower!
