I happened upon a tweet last week while trolling my Twitter in-box that heralded a product announcement from Saba for their new " Saba Anywhere " offering designed to make training delivery to mobile workers easy, practical and secure.

LMS Products of the Year 2010. Big Dog (Saba, SumTotal, Plateau, Cornerstone OnDemand, Learn.com). Saba. Saba does a good job as well. Extended Enterprise 2010 System of the Year. Your competitors are not always the Big Dogs – Learn.com, Saba, Plateau, etc. A lot of great products out there this year, new updates and latest versions; new companies, new services and just some real innovation. These standout to me.

I was surprised they way they referred to me, but there you go(ng). Especially, when vendors released their 2010 final numbers and saw big increases from the previous year. In 2009 and 2010, many vendors in the LMS market, tossed in items that at one time were extra fees. It is small for now, but there are more vendors offering it, then in 2010.

Two examples: In 2010, a person at Saba was talking about their system to me. And now a brief announcement: Shocking news! SumTotal is calling their product a Human Capital Management system. Sure, they offer a separate LMS called SumTotal Maestro, but their TM has surprisingly (not really) been morphed into a HCM, will others follow? Oh wait, others were starting the trend. Never mind, now back to our regular scheduled blog. The Taleo Spin.
