As learning becomes more pull by the learner, than push by the learning department, the type of content, the planning, the control and even the development method (from ADDIE to agile) will change. This role will assist the learner in Internet searches by filtering out relevant content that ties to individual needs and curating it.

The article ended with an introduction to ADDIE framework of learning design. The five phases of ADDIE framework encompass the entire content development process, from discovery to delivery. ADDIE framework essentially follows a sequential process; however agile or iterative process is increasingly being used in ADDIE.

The training film was born, soon to be followed with the ADDIE model. ADDIE (analyze, design, develop, implement & evaluate) made it possible to manage the process of creating useful training programs systematically. Instructional purists still revere the logic of ADDIE. ADDIE invariably points to training as the solution.

Need to be more agile & change. Internet Learning Alliance: They were all working independently, decided to work together and practice what they preach. ADDIE is content centric. No fixed alternative to ADDIE b/c depends on ecosystem/learnscape. ADDIE looks backwards, looks for old best method & replicates that.
