The ADL provided compliance testing, so that content and systems could be validated for interoperability.

When standards are well-written, they support a basis upon which innovation can flourish. And if not, there’s always the ADL to wield the ‘800 lb gorilla’ argument. Standards are good.

As far as I understood they will enable all kind of social inter-activities. I took a short glance at it and if it works that is really an added value.

Allowing collaboration on courses, include social media; giving us a language to talk to learning management systems, in short it will lift the limitations that Scorm gives us. Innovation comes from a mix of passion and doubt.
