I have created (imported) two projects in Captivate 2017 from a ppt. The second project has all blank screens. My deadline is today for these projects! The post PPT Publishing Issue appeared first on eLearning. Added audio no problem. No problem publishing but when uploaded to LMS, one ran perfectly fine.

In Adobe Captivate 5.5, PPTX files were converted to PPT files during import and therefore some features of the PPTX files were not imported into Captivate projects. Adobe® Captivate 5.5 : PPTX -> PPT -> SWF Adobe® Captivate 6 supports direct conversion from PPTX to SWF without converting PPTX to PPT.

I am starting to use the new 2019 Captivate and doing a project from powerpoint 2016. Says importing PowerPoint Project: parsing Powerpoint project 0%. Powerpoint conversions I did with earlier version of Captivate was not a problem except to alter some items in the Imanifest text file for the LMS I use.

Extract all the media and content from the existing website, followed by copying the text and labels of navigation buttons in the GUI (graphical user interface) into a PPT or MS-Word document. The difference in the dimensions could very well corrode the experience of a learner, especially when he/she sees stretched or shrunken objects in the project. The dimensions of a slide in Captivate are defined in pixels, whereas Power Point defines slide size in inches. So, Captivate gives a warning (which you can of course ignore).
