Adobe recently posted a fix for Captivate 9 that, according to Adobe, addresses the following issues in Adobe Captivate 9. Conditional actions get converted to standard actions in upgraded project. Operands in advanced actions appear blank in upgraded project. TAB Order dialog throws Error #2046 on Mac OSX 10.10.5.

One thing you can do to lower the size of your published video is control the quality of your slides. You can apply the settings to individual slides, or for all of the project slides. Low (8 bit):  This option will publish your slides with the smallest possible size and should be the one you try first.

That is fine for pure linear projects but personally I largely prefer custom navigation and buttons for my projects which will seldom be linear. If you forgot, you ended up with an ugly thick grey bottom border on all slides. As indicated in this image, never use Play Slide as Preview, only for synchronizing on the timeline.

The project is HTML5. I am working on a final project for an ID class and am working on trying out new and more advanced approaches. I’ve programmed in an exit button which exists on the second slide and remains for the rest of the project, but which only appears once conditions have met. This works brilliantly.

After I got all my images in order, I inserted each one onto its own slide in Adobe Captivate, ensuring the canvas size was exactly the same as the image dimensions (in this case, 1024 x 768). When I published my learning object in Captivate, the software produced a swf file, an accompanying skin, an html host, and a javascript source.

For SWF output you had the choice: it was possible to change the default setting which was to have a movie playing automatically after loading. The button looks like this (but originally one is smaller, 96×96), black arrow in black circle with transparent background: Such a button will not always blend well in the design of your project.

Recently one of my colleagues upgraded Captivate to the latest release, 10.0.1.285, and since then whenever she publishes to HTML5 and then launches the index file the project starts and pauses on a blank slide that is NOT part of the project.
