It’s that time of year when “Best of” lists start popping up around the web, and just like last year, we’re going to take some time to spotlight a few of these lists in our industry and celebrate our customers’ achievements. Here are some of the most recent lists and rankings that have come out: Craig Weiss’s Top Learning Systems for 2019.

The industry does not have one standard that everyone uses and thus makes the entire e-learning world’s content/courses compliant. . At one time, you could be “certified” with AICC and yes certified with SCORM, but why would you want to be? I still see course libraries that are only AICC. Here is my take.

That is to say, as a whole the e-learning industry, especially authoring tools and LMS/Learning systems are often two steps back, when everyone else or at least the masses are one step forward. but in the e-learning world. WBT - Web based training. Courses created specifically for online learning.

Considering the growth of authoring tools, learning platforms, even mobile platforms jumping into the assessment tool space with equal performance, it just seems to be moving down the opposite side of the bell curve. Again, you can find them in most learning systems and even some authoring tools. Collaborative Learning Systems.

The LEP space is now the 2nd largest segment in the learning system space (LMSs are still first). One area I am seeing trend wise are learning environment and administrative features starting to mimic LMSs (not 100% in some cases, but pretty close). . ” Thus the system suggests those specific topics.
