If you are an e-learning vendor in the higher education space and doing or planning on doing business in Europe, this is the place to be. There was a very good amount of vendors at the show. Authoring Tool vendors – okay TechSmith and a couple of ones that were not really asynchronous based authoring tools. .

Compliance and Regulatory is similar to the LMS, but reduced significantly down, and built-in authoring tool exists as well (although most LEPs do not have one or if they do, it is similar to LMSs in that, it is basic to use). are from 2019, and knowing (well I do) some changes in the space with a few vendors in 2020, their will likely be a couple of key players that make an impact in 2020, because of their rollout (i.e. You could argue easily that we are in 2019, and thus the rankings should reflect the year 2019, since the qualifications, etc.

The minus: vendors come out of the woodwork to tell you their system meets those needs. No vendor could say honestly that their system is the best for you, because they are missing a lot of information. Write vendors’ names on pencils and throw them at the ceiling. Whichever sticks – is your vendor.

As such, we are probably going to find that these eLearning trends, such as gamification and learning analytics, will bring new people to the industry. All this is really old school stuff. On the other hand, great caution is needed.

Compliance – but just because a vendor says they have it, they be turning items that really aren’t into something that works. Built-in authoring tool – If you are expecting something like Storyline, forget it – not there yet; unless vendor has a partnership with an authoring tool vendor – example: Claro.
