Adding an image to an Adobe Captivate project is simple: use the Media tool on the toolbar or import the assets into the Library and then drag the imported assets onto Filmstrip slides.   But what if you've imported an image into Captivate and then the image is updated outside of Captivate. Adobe released an update to Captivate 12 today. Captivate doesn't allow you to select any file on macOS while using the Open URL or file action. Captivate behaves unexpectedly when you select the Text tab of Success or Failure caption of a click box in a simulation project. now known as Adobe Captivate Classic.

Adding an image onto a Captivate slide is as simple as choosing Insert > Image. Once the image has been added to the project, adding additional instances of the image to more slides is a snap. If the source file is ever edited, every instance of the image in your project will usually get the update automatically.

I recently built a new project in Captivate 2017 and was having issues optimizing the size to play well in our LMS. I rebuilt the same project(same images and audio) in Captivate 9 and it saved as a third of the size that it was in Captivate 2017. example Cap.9 9 was 112 MB and Cap. example Cap.9

Adobe recently updated Captivate 2019 from version 11 to 11.5. I have noticed one bug so far in Captivate 2019 (11.5): It appears that the Branching View is broken (you can access the Branching View via Window > Branching View). Here's the same file opened in Captivate 11.5. Notice that the two paths are not displayed.

I have always loved using rollover captions and rollover images in my Adobe Captivate projects. Sadly, if you run the HTML5 tracker ( Project > HTML5 Tracker ), the rollover captions will be flagged as Unsupported.     The good news is that you can still use rollover captions in your projects.
