Equally horrible, is that some companies are still using old versions of IE or an outdated computer system with Windows 2000 on it. LMS/LCMS vendors wishing to a slight degree to incorporate social learning without fully entering are adding Widgets to the mix. Will the vendors support the new versions of all the browsers?

They offer a SaaS version, but that is fee based. They have a freebie version which has an appropriate number of feature sets, then they have paid versions for individual and organization. The freebie does not offer SCORM nor monitoring, but has social learning, assessment tool inc. They are in no particular order.

I’ll be the first to admit, that I was not a big fan of the previous versions of the Plateau system. A major, major improvement from previous versions, but I digress. This is Plateau’s social learning component, and it reminds me of a cross between a COP (Community of Practice) with some social learning functionality.

They do offer a higher education version, but this is all about K-12. This has always been a personal fav of mine, and its primary version K-6 is fantastic. Example of Primary: Active directory, assessment tool, social learning features and SCORM are all bonuses. Frog Trade. Instructure Canvas.

Video goes in and out with the audio – They explain it has to do with the latest version of Flash, but how about coming up with an alternative. Because I was using the free version, I was unable to use this feature and thus cannot tell you what it looked like and how it played on a mobile device. Problems with recording audio.
