That pretty much sums up our experience at Kaplan of working exclusively remotely this past year. While this is invaluable work, at Kaplan we felt there was something missing from a career development perspective. Consequently, we have to take on new skills and new knowledge to operate in this new world. We thought we were prepared.

There were some inspiring talks, including Mark Milliron of the Gates Foundation, and a ‘debate’ between Peter Smith of Kaplan (and author of a new book on the topic of higher education) and David Longanecker of WICHE (WCET’s ‘parent’). What’s missing from what I see is a unified quality approach.
