As I wrote on LinkedIn a week ago, another bug appeared when using GPT-4 – regarding images. Going back to private AI, yes, you are in a bubble, but the moment you leave that bubble, say to link to 3rd party content outside of the bubble – hypothetically LinkedIn Learning, you no longer are within Private AI.

Many times, I have run into whatever the learning system is, it stinks, and when you do a deeper dive, you find the content is the culprit here. Honestly, you can tap into the KP for online – via your learning system for some of the items. Always remember that the goal of online learning is synthesis.

Before diving into the functionality they all possess, I’d add a few points: They are ideally suited as a “bolt-on” to an LMS, while they can be a standalone, in nearly all cases the vendors have told me, that the majority of their customers already have an LMS. There are exceptions, but it is really few and far between.

A built-in authoring tool is listed as an inquiry with any learning system vendor, but it a vendor doesn’t have one, they are not eliminated as a result.
