Picnik – When I am not using my own laptop and thus don’t have access to PhotoShop, I rely on this web-based photo editing tool to crop, resize, touch-up and edit photos for use in presentations or blog posts. This fremium tool also offers paid upgrades for producing more sophisticated images and graphics.

Aviary Phoenix is a more robust application and close to something like Photoshop with the layering and more complex editing capabilities. Splashup is an image editing tool and photo manager. They also offer a Pro upgrade that gives you a desktop version with additional features. Aviary Feather is a basic image editing tool.

Photoshop Lightroom: I've just got this and now use it to manage and edit my photos. It looks so cool it was definitely worth upgrading from Photoshop Elements. Blogger: I didn't choose my blogging tool, I just took the easy option and used the one that Google provided. It seems absolutely fine. What else can you say?
