Learning Tools – Do these really belong?

That is a stretch, just as folks note PowerPoint here. PowerPoint is a presentation software. Questionmark – Assessment tool. Again, just because you use them to write up Work Instructions or a list of items to learn, they should not qualify as a learning tool. Articulate Storyline (latest version).

Questionmark. Yes it is a top-notch SaaS assessment tool and it has a lot of functionality, but the UI is dated and needs major revamp. Questionmark has a nice niche with the F500, and there are definitely CLO’s who love it, but is it sustainable over the next few years? Well, this ceremony is no different! The jury is out.

Tools which create media-rich components ( Raptivity , Flash , PowerPoint, Acrobat, Captivate) which can then be inserted into other tools, as opposed to those tools which provide the wrapper and depend on you bringing in the really hot stuff from elsewhere (as with most built-in LMS/LCMS authoring modules).
